I am a graduate student at the Institute for Astronomy, University of Hawaii. I am interested in the formation and evolution of galaxies. In particular, I study the gas-phase abundance of oxygen in star-forming galaxies in order to understand important physical processes regulating galaxy evolution. My thesis advisor is Lisa Kewley and I am currently in the sixth year of my thesis. Outside of astronomy I enjoy learning and thinking about philosophy. I also enjoy biking, surfing, listening to and playing music and spending time with my friends and family.
