St. Joseph Country Fair
October 3rd, 2009
St. Joseph Schools hosted a fantastic Country Fair once again this year. Great musicians took the stage, kids climbed the big rock wall brought in for fun, lots of good food, and the Visitor Information Station (VIS) set up a booth among many other organizations from Mauna Kea and the Big Island Community. VIS volunteers, Erik Schmidt and Dayana Cardoso, came to help Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Callie McNew, make over 200 unique astronomy-themed magnets for the many public attendees.
It was a fun-filled day at the St. Joseph Country Fair! VIS Volunteers, Erik and Dayana, talk with many visitors and help make
unique astronomy-themed buttons and magnets. They did a great job!
Free fridge magnets?!? With awesome astronomy images?!? Thank you! Young visitors enjoyed the temporary tattoos and pogs at the VIS booth!
